Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026: Every Major Reveal

Gamescom Opening Night Live returned to Cologne on August 25, with Geoff Keighley and co-host Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere running a two-hour show packed with new reveals, extended gameplay, and release-date drops across PC and every current console.
Two hours, dozens of games, one night. Opening Night Live 2026 is live now.
The headline moments came from established franchises rather than brand-new IP. CD Projekt Red used the stage to unveil The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, Krafton introduced a 1990s-set PUBG spin-off called Ded.net, and Square Enix confirmed Final Fantasy VII Revelation — the closing chapter of its remake trilogy — for 2027. 4A Games showed the first gameplay for Metro 2039, and Xbox and The Coalition brought a new look at Gears of War: E-Day.
Elsewhere, the show found room for smaller announcements including LEGO Skylines, a co-op action title from HoYoverse called Nodusfall, and a turn-based tactics game built around Rainbow Six Siege operators. Keighley closed the broadcast by confirming gamescom's Stage Tour dates for December.
