Release date & editions

Rockstar has confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI ships November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (full story). A PC release was confirmed to follow at a later, unannounced date — consistent with the studio’s release pattern for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Two purchase options are confirmed for launch: a Standard Edition and an Ultimate Edition, the latter bundling extra content on top of the base campaign (details). Pricing hasn’t been officially announced.

Trailers, in order

1. Trailer 1 (December 2024) — the debut reveal, confirming a return to Vice City and naming the two protagonists, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval (watch/read).
2. Trailer 2 (May 2025) — expanded on Leonida’s wider map and set a new 24-hour entertainment-trailer viewing record, topping the first reveal (reveal, the record).
3. Trailer 3 — “An Extended Look” (August 2026) — a 26-minute gameplay-focused deep dive that premiered exclusively on Netflix before hitting Rockstar’s own channel, showing off Jason and Lucia’s partnership alongside new crime, relationship, and world systems (premiere, full breakdown).

The map: Leonida

GTA VI follows two protagonists — Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval — Rockstar’s first playable female lead since the franchise’s original 1997 entry, alongside a supporting cast confirmed across trailers and official character bios.
