Rockstar drops the second trailer
Rockstar Games released the second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, giving the clearest look yet at Leonida — the fictional state built around a reimagined Vice City. The trailer confirmed a broader map than any prior entry, showing swampland, small towns, and coastline alongside the neon core of the city itself.
“This is the most ambitious game we've ever attempted.” — Rockstar Games, official trailer description

Alongside the visuals, Rockstar reiterated its commitment to a single, unified open world shared across the story campaign and GTA Online, continuing the studio's approach from Grand Theft Auto V.
The trailer's second half focused heavily on Jason and Lucia's partnership, showing them pulling off jobs together across at least three distinct regions. Environmental detail was a recurring talking point among fans frame-by-frame breaking down crowd density, weather transitions, and dynamic lighting.
Rockstar has not confirmed a mission structure or map size in square miles, but community measurements against known landmarks suggest Leonida is meaningfully larger than Los Santos and Blaine County combined.
